Casciani's Pizzeria
It was 1967 when Sergio Casciani opened the original Casciani's Pizzeria in Cicero, IL on 16th & Austin, with the help of his son, Harry, few knew within a few short years, it would go on to become a neighborhood treasure. Harry established a wonderful relationship between the Pizzeria and the Chicago Bears, starting in 1985. While the Bears would practice at Morton East High School in Cicero, Casciani's fed all the players after the practices while supplying them with Pizzas for the long trip back to Lake Forest. Mike Ditka himself insisted that Casciani's pizzas be served on their flight to New Orleans for Super Bowl XX. The rest is history. As their business and family grew, in 1986, they established a second location in Hodgkins, IL. Once again becoming a neighborhood fixture. Moving forward, Casciani's Pizzeria has been inducted into the Vienna Beef Hall of Fame in 2014. To this day, Harry's sons: Gino, Rocco and Carmen are still keeping the tradition going strong, serving their famous pizza and famous breaded steaks.
